Rebecca Alie Romijn was born on November 6, 1972 in Berkeley, California.
Her mother was American-born, with Dutch and English ancestry, and was a teacher of English.
Rebecca attended Berkeley High School where her nickname was the "Jolly Blond Giant", then she attended the University of California at Santa Cruz where she majored in Music, but left in 1995.
Along with Ian Mc Kellen playing Magneto in five live-action X-Men and Wolverine films, James Franco & Willem Dafoe as Harry Osborn and Norman Osborn, respectively, in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy, Gene Hackman playing Lex Luthor in three (nonconsecutive) Superman films, Cillian Murphy playing Dr Jonathan Crane/The Scarecrow in Christopher Nolan's "Batman: The Dark Knight" trilogy, and Tom Hiddleston as Loki in the expansive Marvel Cinematic Universe series of films, she is one of the few people to play a comic book criminal in at least three live-action films (she has played Mystique in four films).
